The indicative price for a typical 15–20 m² metallic epoxy floor is £1,500–£2,400. The final price depends on the size of the area, the condition of the existing floor, the preparation or repairs needed and how complex the design is. You receive a fully itemised quotation before any work begins, with no hidden extras.

Is every metallic epoxy floor unique?

Yes. Metallic epoxy is a seamless decorative resin system in which coloured pigments are blended by hand to create depth, movement and a marble-effect appearance. We agree the colour direction and overall style with you, but the pattern develops naturally during installation, so your floor is individually created rather than copied from another project.

Is metallic epoxy flooring suitable for homes, including homes with pets?

Yes. Once fully cured, a professionally installed metallic resin floor is suitable for normal household use and homes with dogs or cats. The protective clear topcoat provides practical resistance to everyday traffic, scuffs and pet activity while creating a surface that is easy to clean. Like any finished floor, it is not impossible to mark. Removing grit, maintaining pets' claws and using furniture pads will help preserve its appearance.

How long does metallic epoxy flooring last?

With correct preparation and normal domestic use, a professionally installed metallic resin floor is designed to last many years. Everyday walking and routine cleaning should not damage a correctly specified, fully cured finish. Sharp objects, trapped grit or dragging heavy furniture can mark any floor. If the clear topcoat eventually shows wear, it can often be renewed without replacing the decorative floor beneath.

Will metallic epoxy yellow or fade in sunlight?

For rooms receiving natural light, we can specify a professional UV-stable topcoat designed to protect the finish and reduce yellowing. We consider the amount of direct sunlight, window exposure and your chosen colours when recommending the system. This means the complete specification is selected for your room rather than using the same topcoat in every environment.

Is metallic epoxy flooring slippery?

A standard metallic floor has a smooth finish similar to polished tiles and may become slippery when wet. Where additional grip is required, we can incorporate a suitable slip-resistant finish. We balance the required grip with appearance and ease of cleaning, so the floor suits how the room is actually used.

Can metallic epoxy flooring be installed in kitchens or with underfloor heating?

Yes. Metallic resin suits many interior spaces, including kitchens, living rooms, dining areas, hallways, salons, studios and selected retail environments. It can also be compatible with suitable underfloor-heated screeds. We assess the substrate, moisture and heating system before installation and explain how to switch the heating off and gradually return it to use after curing.

Can it be installed over tiles, cracks or an uneven floor?

In many cases, yes. Sound tiles can often be mechanically prepared and levelled, while suitable stable cracks, holes and uneven areas can be repaired before the decorative system is applied. We inspect the existing floor first and include the necessary preparation in the specification. Loose tiles or active structural movement require additional attention, and we will explain this clearly before confirming the final quotation.

What warranty do you provide?

We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty, subject to the written terms supplied with your quotation and the correct use and care of your floor. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
